Norwich Medics 43, Lowestoft & Yarmouth 0

Our third shut-out of the season, our first two sin-binnings ever in XVs and the interesting challenge of the new scrum laws will just about summarise yesterday's match.

Medics got off to a flying start with some good forwards work and the excellent running we have come to expect from our backs, and were quickly 19 - 0 up. There then followed a slightly surreal period where we failed to get to grips with the new scrum laws, the ref and the L&Y pack, resulting in a long-period of time camped on our own line, conceding penalties, getting involved in handbags but ultimately preventing Lowestoft from scoring. Once we settled down again, the scores came from some excellent teamwork.

Next week, Staff v. Students Touch Rugby..........
